Letter to the Editor: Sawicki Asks for Support in Candidacy for HVRSD BOE

by Community Contributor

Each Hopewell Township Committee candidate and Hopewell Valley Regional School District Board of Education candidate was invited to submit a final letter to the MercerMe editor.

To the Editor:

As Election Day approaches, I would like to express my appreciation to our local media and organizations like the League of Women Voters for providing a forum through which we candidates have been able to discuss our positions and views for the future of our school district. I would also like to acknowledge my fellow candidates for the positive atmosphere and mutual respect that has characterized this election season.

As a member of the Board of Education for six years, I have seen our members work effectively to provide greater opportunities for our students while being responsible stewards of the resources that our taxpayers have provided us. I have had a personal stake in moving some very important initiatives forward in our community. However, there still remains work to be done, and I bring the experience of having served on every Board committee. I look forward to working with my Board colleagues to support the district’s continued progress in a way that is cost-effective and least burdensome to our taxpayers.

I respectfully ask for your support, and request your joining me in support of Darius Matthews and Alyce Murray, on November 7. Please join me in voting for 1H, 2H and 4H, for fresh ideas, experience and leadership for our Board of Education.

Adam J. Sawicki Jr. (2H)

Hopewell Township, NJ
