I was one of several people who attended the Hopewell Township Committee meeting on May 20, and listened with interest to the presentation of the 2019 budget and the 4.6% overall increase. Criticism of Hart’s Environmental Views is Too Harsh

Mayor McLaughlin and her Municipal Tax Increase of 4.68 Per Cent

Once upon a time Hopewell Township Mayor Kristin McLaughlin and her majority of Democrats promised to keep Hopewell Township “affordable.”  Those promises were made during every election campaign for the past several years, and, like all fairy tales, those promises were pure fiction. To continue reading, please see this link.

Higher budgets, more excuses

When Hopewell Township Mayor McLaughlin criticized the School Board for its nearly 5% budget increase, you might have assumed that the Township’s budget was in better shape. But when the Township just introduced its 4.68% budget increase, she and the other Democratic leaders were full of excuses.
