If you’ve had cause to drive through Marshalls Corner (Route 654/Pennington-Hopewell Road) these past few weeks, you probably noticed the construction or had to wait for police to flag you through after you’ve waited for opposing traffic.
Elizabethtown Gas Company is installing a 8” gas main from Route 31 to the Stony Brook Golf Club area, along Route 654. Estimated construction time is one month with construction having begun in mid-November.
This pipeline is meant to be an upgrade to the existing piping distribution system in order to increase operating pressures during peak demand and is unrelated to PennEast, sources tell us.
