by Esha Dhar

The Pennington Public Library is hosting a “Memories of Pennington, NJ in Mid-Twentieth Century” event on Sunday, September 22 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be lead by Mike Thomsen, a local historian, as he shares photos and stories of Pennington during the 1940s and 1950s.

Mike Thomsen arrived in Pennington in 1944 with his family when he was four. He grew up on 25 East Welling Avenue, and has written a photo essay about his experience growing up during the mid-twentieth century era. This event is co-sponsored by the Hopewell Valley Historical Society and the Pennington Public Library.
