Monday Sports Update – Pickleball edition

by Community Contributor

We have no sports news from the Valley as the kids’ teams have ended for the season, but we do have news about a new venue for Pickleball. From the press release:

What do you get when four recently retired, new neighbors spend too much time during a global pandemic playing Pickleball on their taped cul-de-sac court?

It was winter 2020, when the idea was conceived by the Voelzkes and Gabrieles of Yardley, PA to open an indoor Pickleball facility to serve the community (and allow them constant play time!). After testing out many indoor Pickleball facilities across the country, they were sure they could bring the best-of-the best to Mercer/Bucks counties. They searched both counties for the perfect location that would create the ideal environment for fun and fitness. What originally began as a simple project of hanging nets in an old warehouse quickly evolved into the creation of a state-of-the art facility with the best in court surfacing, lighting, equipment, sound-proofing, event programming, and instruction.

Now they are excited to share their Pickleball club, community, and passion with you.
