Hopewell Township is currently registering 101 on the Air Quality Index (AQI), and tomorrow is forecast to be 110. Readings over 100 are considered potentially unhealthy for sensitive individuals.

People who may be sensitive, such as those with heart or lung disease, older adults, children, and teens – take steps to reduce exposure to the outdoors today and tomorrow. Choose less strenuous activities (like walking instead of running), so you don’t breathe as hard. Sensitive groups should wear a mask outdoors, and everyone should reduce outdoor exercise.

Shorten the amount of time you are active outdoors or wear a mask if you need to spend prolonged time out of doors.
