Pennington Borough Hosts Town-Wide Yard Sale

Pennington Borough Mayor and Council encourage all residents to participate in the town’s first annual Community-Wide Yard Sale on Saturday May 4, 2019 from 9am to 4pm. There is no fee or advance registration required. The event will be held rain or shine.

A community yard sale offers a great opportunity for homeowners to host a sale on the same day as their neighbors and to take advantage of increased customer traffic in town. Yard sales encourage people to resell clothes, toys, equipment, furniture, and other household items and to reduce the amount of unwanted items sent to the landfill for disposal.

The Borough has notified local non-profit organizations to anticipate donations left out at curbs on Saturday afternoon. The Borough Public Works Department will collect bulk trash items on Monday morning provided they have the proper number of bulk wastes stickers. Stickers are available for purchase at Borough Hall. Residents can check their 2019 Household Trash and Recycling Calendar for guidelines about Pennington’s Bulk Trash Program.
