Plugging-in with Hopewell: Township Receives Grant

by Mary Galioto

It was announced at last month’s Hopewell Township Committee meeting that Hopewell Township applied for and received a grant from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) for an electrical vehicle charging station onsite at the Township Municipal Building.

“This is sort of a no-brainer because we have conduit already set up and it is a perfect fit,” said Township Administrator Paul Pogorzelski.

On August 22, 2016 Hopewell Township unanimously passed a resolution that authorizes a grant agreement between DEP and Hopewell Township for a total grant of $5,000 through the NJDEP’s “It Pays to Plug In: NJ’s Electric Vehicle Workplace Charging Grant.”
