POSTPONED: Route 31 CSX Bridge in Pennington to Close for 5 Days, Traffic Detours

by MercerMe Staff
The NJ State Department of Transportation announced a one week delay of the Rt. 31 road closure. Weather permitting, the bridge portion of Route 31 over the CSX Railroad will be partially closed for concrete deck pour construction on or about Thursday, July 26 at 6:00 a.m. through Monday, July 30 at 6:00 a.m.

Detour Route will remain unchanged:

All truck traffic will be detoured at Route 295 or Route 202.  NO TRUCK TRAFFIC WILL BE PERMITTED ON ROUTE 31 BETWEEN PENNINGTON TITUSVILLE ROAD AND INGLESIDE AVENUE.
All southbound car traffic will be detoured at the intersection of Route 31 and Pennington Titusville Road (County Road 624). Please plan an alternate route due to expected heavy traffic in the area of Route 31 and Delaware Avenue.  Also be advised that there may be heavy traffic on Main Street in Pennington Borough as a result of this detour.
