Recycling Weekend at Pennington Farmers Market

by MercerMe Staff

CORN! FRUIT! SUNFLOWERS! Summer is in full swing at the Pennington Farmers Market.  Stop buy this Saturday 9-1 and soak in summer’s bounty! While you’re there, pick up a fresh, homemade lunch, enjoy a cup of cold-brewed coffee and go home with local corn, crisp organic produce, sunflowers, freshly prepared foods, grassfed beef, sweet, juicy fruit, gourmet popcorn, herbal tea, delicious baked goods, award-winning wines and more – all produced within 50 miles of Pennington!

This week’s vendors include: Beechtree Farm, Capital Corn & Confections, Caribbean Delights, Chickadee Creek, Fiery Chicks Kitchen, Goonie Garlic, Hopewell Valley Vineyard, Kerr’s Kornstand, Nine Acre Farm, Sacred Rose Herb & Root, Skylands Roastery, and Terra Momo & Camella Sauces, Treelicious, and Uncle Ed’s Creamery.  Live music by Darla & Rich.

Each week, the Pennington Farmers Market hosts a local nonprofit in our Community Tent.  Please contact us if your organization would like to participate. This week’s guests are the Lions Club (selling 50/50 raffle tickets and collecting used eyeglasses.), Deer Management Advisory Council, and Hopewell Valley Green Team (recycling).

It’s Recycling Weekend.  We are collecting: #5 plastics, styrofoam egg cartons, real wine corks, CDs/DVDs, dental care products, and plastic bags.

The Pennington Farmer’s Market is open Saturdays 9-1, May 28th-November 19th on the lawn at Rosedale Mills (101 Route 31 North in Hopewell Township).
