RT 518 Hopewell Borough Bridge to Reopen

by MercerMe Staff

The bridge along Route 518, just outside of Hopewell Borough, will finally be reopening this week, announced the Borough on their website.

The bridge is expected to reopen on Friday July 12.

“The 4-month-long closure of Broad Street (CR518) at Hopewell Borough’s eastern border due to bridge construction is ending soon! Weather permitting, the road will be reopened to vehicular traffic by the end of the business day on Friday, July 12th. Should unexpected delays occur in the project’s final stage, the road will then be opened as soon as possible thereafter. Any change to the Friday reopening plan will be posted here.

The Borough and the County of Mercer wish to thank all businesses, residents and visitors for their patience during construction.”

The section of Route 519 between Elm Street and Aunt Molly Road has been closed since March resulting in a redirection of traffic — both on the roads and also in the Borough’s local businesses.
