Second Annual Hopewell Valley Restaurant Week Offering Deliciously Special Menus

by Mary Galioto

The second annual Hopewell Valley Restaurant Week is right around the bend, between March 5-13, where foodies can check out event-special menus at restaurants throughout Hopewell Valley. In addition to being completely delicious, the event also strives to raise money for F.I.S.H, the Valley’s own “meals on wheels” program.

One such unique menu will be available at the Brick Farm Tavern, new to the community and to Restaurant Week, which will offer a 3-course special in the bar.

“The Brick Farm Tavern is excited to join Hopewell Valley for Hopewell’s Restaurant Week. As a special offering, we will be bringing fresh ingredients from our farm partners to a 3-course bar menu for $25.00 for the entire Restaurant Week period,” said owner Robin McConaughy. “We look forward to seeing our local residents as well as new faces for this special event.”

Celebrating 15 years in Hopewell Borough, The Brothers Moon will be cooking up special 3-course menus for lunch ($20.16) and dinner ($39.00). Owner and chef, Will Mooney, said, “We love Restaurant Week! It’s a great opportunity for folks who have never tried Brothers Moon to give us a try and for us to give them no choice but to come back again. It’s also a excellent reason for our regular patrons to come on out for a great meal and a great cause.”

Antimo Lovine, owner of Antimo’s Italian Kitchen in Hopewell Boro will be making homemade raviolis and other specials for Restaurant Week. “We love this community and are always happy to help support a local non-profit like F.I.S.H.,” said Lovine.

Patrons of Restaurant Week will also have the opportunity to support F.I.S.H. (Friends in Service Here), Hopewell Valley’s own “meals on wheels” program.  F.I.S.H. is a charitable 501(c)(3), all volunteer program, serving meals on wheels to the homebound of Hopewell, Pennington, Titusville and surrounding areas. Meals are made and subsidized by the Pennington Quality Market on a sliding scale depending upon need and served Monday through Friday. The only requirement is that the client is homebound either permanently or temporarily. Participating restaurants will have envelopes that patrons can leave a donation in, or take home and mail directly to F.I.S.H.

The website www.EatinHopewell.com has launched and includes links to all of the participating restaurants. For the most up-to-date information, “like” the Facebook page Eat in Hopewell and follow @EatInHopewell on Twitter.
