Senior Book Club meets

Members of the Senior Book Club at the Hopewell Branch of the Mercer County Library meet once a month to discuss a new book selected by Diane Miller, Librarian (above, far right). The group meets from 2 to 3pm on the second Monday of the month. All are welcome. The book for next month, April 13, is “Olive, Again” by Elizabeth Strout. The book is a follow-up to “Olive Kitteridge,” winner of the Pulitzer Prize.

Explorations Teachers and Courses

Five volunteers will teach courses in the spring semester of Explorations, a daytime learning experience for seniors.

The instructors, pictured above are:

Front Row: Larry Mansier (Three Plays by Anton Chekhov), Lesley Cohen-Lee (Philosophy of Music), William Guthrie (American Indian Architecture & Life Styles).

Back row: Al Fittipaldi (Reading Emily Dickinson – Major Themes) and Christina Kales (French Impressionist Artists: 1874-1886).
