Sourland Mountain Festival Returns July 25 with Music, Food and Fun

by Community Contributor

The Sourland Mountain Festival returns for its 21st year on Saturday, July 25, bringing an afternoon and evening of live music, local food and drink, family activities and scenic views to Unionville Vineyards in Ringoes.

Presented by Unionville Vineyards, the festival runs from 3 to 8:30 p.m. and serves as the largest annual fundraiser for the Sourland Conservancy. Proceeds support the nonprofit’s work to protect the 90-square-mile Sourland Mountain region, which spans parts of Mercer, Hunterdon and Somerset counties and contains the largest contiguous forest in Central New Jersey.

This year’s lineup features five acts showcasing rock, Americana, folk and singer-songwriter styles.

Headlining the festival are The Harrisons, husband-and-wife musicians Jennifer and Christian Harrison, who are known throughout the tri-state area for creating the sound of a full band while performing as a duo using multiple instruments.

The afternoon also includes a performance by New Jersey singer-songwriter Jake Thistle, whose music blends classic rock influences with contemporary songwriting, along with Americana band Hickory, independent rock group The Swiss Guard, and Princeton favorite Gravity Hill, a band that has been entertaining local audiences for more than 15 years.

In addition to live music, attendees can enjoy local food vendors, wine from Unionville Vineyards, beer, family-friendly activities and opportunities to learn more about the Sourland Conservancy’s efforts to preserve the region’s forests, wetlands and open space.

The festival will be held rain or shine.
