Spring Community Festival Benefits Animal Rescues in Pennington

by Community Contributor

The Northeast Animal Support Alliance is holding its second annual Spring Community Festival on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Rosedale Mills, 101 Route 31 North, Pennington, to raise money and awareness for the following animal rescue organizations: German Shepard Rescue of NJ, EASEL, Trenton Cats Rescue, Forgotten Tails, SoCo, and Long Island Bulldog Rescue. Additionally, Capital K-9 Association, which equips police dogs nationwide with bullet-proof vests and other life-saving equipment, will be in attendance. All funds raised will directly benefit these non-profit organizations.

The Festival will run from 11am to 4pm, and be open to everyone and their pets, with no admission charge. The highlights include Two (2) Easter Egg Hunts and photos with the Easter Bunny (children and pets), all of which will be donation based. There will be local restaurants, shopping with over Fifty (50) vendors, a petting zoo, $5,000 in door prizes, a DJ, face painting, and many more family friendly activities. Of course, there will be dogs and cats available for adoption to their forever homes.

Northeast Animal Support Alliance was founded and is run by Kim Janel of Hopewell Township, to help provide support, financial and otherwise, to reputable non-profit animal rescue groups and shelters. Past support has included holding fund-raising events, securing emergency medical care, food and blanket drives, organizing adoption events, finding foster and adoptive families, and securing needed legal services free or at a reduced rate. Northeast Animal Support Alliance “is a rescue for animal rescues.” All proceeds go directly to the rescue organizations.

Sponsorships and donations of any type are welcome, in any amount. All sponsors and donators will be recognized throughout the event and on social media for their generosity.

If you have a rescue that needs help, you can contact Kim at (609) 915-0164 or by email [email protected]
