The Lady Margaret Animal Foundation hosts Spring Social at Trenton Social

by Mary Galioto

The Lady Margaret Animal Foundation (TLMAF), an animal advocacy organization founded by Trenton North Ward Councilwoman Marge Caldwell-Wilson, will be hosting a “Spring Social” at Trenton Social on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 1- 4pm.

Under the wing of Caldwell-Wilson, a long-time advocate for animal rights and protection, TLMAF’s mission is to raise funds for the care of animals in need and to help develop educational programs to inform the community regarding the humane treatment of animals. The foundation strives to be a resource to those who need financial assistance to care for animals in need and provide a resource directory for the welfare of animals.

The gathering on Sunday, May 31, 2015 will feature two very special guests: Oakley, the Wonder Dog and former cast member Sandy, of Broadway’s Annie and Macy, the Lonely Pitbull who is the subject of Todd Jagemann’s children’s book on pet adoption and a better understanding of the underappreciated pit bull breed.

“In the spirit of traditional socials, we developed a family friendly event that highlights a few of our pet celebrities from Mercer County,” said Lisa Rivera, President of TLMAF.

Bring a photo of your pet and Chris Corroza will create a delightful caricature for $10.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome. All proceeds from the event will go to TLMAF. Trenton Social is located at 449 South Broad Street, Trenton, NJ 08611. Parking is available in the rear lot. For more information, please visit www.facebook.com/TASFR
