Trenton Eat Local Club Picks Top 3 Restaurants of 2015

by Mary Galioto

The Trenton Eat Local Club has chosen its favorite restaurants of 2015.

Check out Maywar’s review of Trenton Eat Local Club’s trip to El Sazon in Chambersburg, Trenton.

The Trenton Eat Local is a group, open to the public, that meets twice a month — once for lunch and once for dinner — to support local restaurants, hang out with other interesting people and eat great food. It is organized by Eric Maywar, a Trenton resident, an economic development specialist for the City of Trenton and owner of Classics Bookstore in Trenton.

“It’s the perfect mix of community-minded people who are involved in interesting things and are nice to hang out with,” said Maywar. “You’re always meeting a new person or reconnecting with an old friend.”

At the end of the year, the club voted on the favorite restaurants of the ones that they visited.

FAVORITE NEW RESTAURANT of 2015: 1911 Smoke House Barbeque, 11 West Front Street

FAVORITE PLACE FOR LUNCH of 2015: Tropical Blend Café, 25 South Warren Street

FAVORITE PLACE FOR DINNER of 2015: Settimo Cielo Restaurant, 17 East Front Street
