Vehicle fires extinguished in Elm Ridge Park

The Hopewell Township Police Department, along with the Pennington Fire Company responded to a West Shore Drive address for a vehicle fire, according to the Hopewell Township Police. 

The homeowner reported fire to multiple vehicles in the driveway.  Hopewell Township Police Officers arrived on scene and observed fire to the involved vehicles which was extending to the structure.

Fire personnel under the command of Pennington Fire Company arrived on location and extinguished the fire. 

Responding agencies assisting the Pennington Fire Company were the Union Fire Department, Hopewell Fire Company, and Pennington First Aid Squad.

The garage adjacent to the vehicles sustained moderate fire, smoke, and water damage.

The source of the fire is under investigation by Officer Dendis and Detective Maccaquano of the Hopewell Township Police Department, and Fire Official Fosina from the Hopewell Valley Emergency Services.

The fire is believed to was accidental in nature and not to be suspicious.
