Window Shopping: Take a Better Peek at the #HVWinterWindows Contestants

MercerMe and the Hopewell Valley Arts Council have been proudly hosting the art local/shop local event “Winter Windows” and are thrilled that it has been so well-received. These local businesses have gone all-out this season to create festive holiday windows in an ox theme.

Although some holidays are over, we’re continuing the celebration and supporting our local businesses and artists by extending online voting to the rest of 2014. Vote frequently to make sure the one(s) you love win!

So, without further ado, here are the contestants this year:

1) Art Sparks

feature art sparks winter windows 2014The art in the window was painted by Art Sparks’s Art-Hand-in-Hand classes, ages 18 months – 4 years using acrylic paint, brushes, textured rollers and lots of enthusiasm for painting on canvases, shopping bags, letters and ox silhouettes.

“Learn! Explore! Create! Get Messy! Grow!” Find your inner spark at Art Sparks Studio, located at 33 Railroad Place in Hopewell, where children learn and grow through art creation in classes, drop-in hours, parties and camps. GO VOTE!.

2) Sticks and Stones

sticksandstones winter windows 2014Sticks and Stones have 8 of the area’s most beloved oxen pulling the sleigh driven by the shop’s mascot, a squirrel. “On Tyler, on Patches…”

Sticks and Stones, located at 16 Seminary Ave in Hopewell Borough, is the place to find high-quality, nature-inspired toys and playful things for your young explorers, artists, gardeners, inventors, builders, actors, naturalists. GO VOTE!.

 

3) Pennington Bagel

feature pennington bagel winter windows 2014Pennington Bagel’s window features a cartoon ox decorated only with bagel toppings like sesame and poppy seeds. The ox has a word bubble “I sure would love a P. Bagel with cream cheese and l’ox.”

Located right near PQM at 1 Route 31 in Pennington, Pennington Bagel is Pennington’s original bagel bakery with bagels baked the old-fashioned way. GO VOTE!.

4) Beth Ann Designs

bethanndesigns winter window 2014Beth Ann Designs filled her windows with black and white ox faces with paper Rudolph noses and adorned with a paper-version of some of Beth Ann’s own jewelry creations.

Award winning jewelry designer, goldsmith, custom work, repairs and appraisals, Beth Ann Designs is located in Hopewell Borough at 20 Seminary Ave. GO VOTE!.

5) Twine.

feature twine winter windows 2014twine. in Hopewell Borough decorated their windows with cut-out silhouettes of oxen and notable Boro buildings. Plus, “An Oxidant Waiting to Happen,” twine.’s own ox by Peter Franz is wearing his holiday best.

twine. is an eclectic shop, located at 10 East Broad Street in Hopewell, filled with gifts, cards, jewelry, candles, vintage bits & bobs, ephemera. GO VOTE!.

 

6) Orion Jewelry Studio

feature orion winter windows 2014Orion adorned their little tree with ox ornaments, some of their jewelry mannequins with ox jewelry, and has a adorable ox peeking out from behind their store sign.

Orion Jewelry Studio, located at 7 Route 31 North in Pennington, is designed to provide an individual shopping experience. Selections range from everyday-wear to one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces. GO VOTE!.

7) Studio B

studio B winter windows 2014Studio B’s windows are covered in translucent child-art oxen grazing along a winter-scape.

Studio B Art Studio, located at 2490 Pennington Road / Route 31 Suite 203 in Pennington, offers art classes, open studio time, camps and more for children in Hopewell Valley. GO VOTE!.

 

8) Filling Station Studios

feature filling station winter windows 2014Filling Station Studios window’s are decked out in a snowy ox wonderland with colorful vintage toys and kitchen items lining the interior windowsills.

Filling Station Studios, located at 71 East Broad Street in Hopewell, is a small art studio featuring hand-painted furniture, custom signs, paint workshops and decorative vintage kitchen and garden decor. GO VOTE!.
