On September 11, a piece of steel that was recovered from the World Trade Center following the 9/11 attacks was moved from Fire District headquarters to the administrative offices of the Hopewell Valley School District. The caravan made stops at the high school, the middle school and Toll Gate School while going to the Administrative Building.
