NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Hopewell Family Apartments LLC (“Applicant”) has filed an application for development with the Hopewell Township Planning Board (“Board”) regarding real property designated as block 88, lot 5.021 on the municipal tax map (the “Weidel Tract”). The Weidel Tract, which is currently owned by the Township, is approximately 52.41 acres and is currently vacant and unimproved. The Applicant is the prospective owner of an approximately 10.058 acre portion of the Weidel Tract (the “Property”). The Applicant seeks preliminary major site plan and minor subdivision approval to subdivide the Property from the remainder of the Weidel Tract, and build a 100% affordable multi-family residential community consisting of seventy (70) affordable family rental units across six (6) residential buildings, together with associated site improvements including parking areas, stormwater management facilities, a community building, basketball court and tot lot. The Applicant proposes to construct an access road from the Property to Denow Road, through adjacent parcels designated as Block 88, Lots 6.01 and 4.02.
The Applicant does not require any known variances in connection with this application.
The Applicant also requests any variances, submission waivers, exceptions, design waivers, de minimis exceptions, interpretations, modifications of conditions of prior approvals, continuation of any preexisting non-conforming conditions, conditional use approval, other approvals reflected on the plans (as same may be further amended or revised from time to time without further notice) as may be determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the application by the Board and its professional staff, and permits requested or required by the Board at the public hearing.

Friends of Hopewell Quarry is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at The Hopewell Quarry located at 180 Crusher Road and Pennington-Hopewell Road.
PROJECT SCOPE: Friends of Hopewell Quarry proposes to create the following new facilities at The Hopewell Quarry: a new septic, water well, and bathroom facility as well as a water bottle filling station; and/or to renovate the following facilities: railing entrance to the Quarry. This application proposes tree removal.
