Hopewell Harvest Fair Returns for 36th Year

by Community Contributor

The Hopewell Harvest Fair returns again to the grounds of Hopewell Elementary School on Saturday, September 21 from 9:45am to 4pm (rain date is Sept 28) in Hopewell Borough. A cherished local tradition, it attracts families from all over the area to enjoy a day of old-fashioned fun, while raising funds for local non-profits.

At the main event on Saturday on the school grounds, new and returning activities include:

  • Activities for kids of all ages: Inflatable Slide and Obstacle Courses, Pony Rides, Rock-climbing Wall, free Glass Blowing Demos by Pezz Glassworks, Pumpkin Painting, Games, and more!
  • Entertainment all day: Great live music all day! Bluegrass, rock-n-roll, country, and more! Visit our website for the complete line-up.
  • Contests: 11am Doggie dress-up registration + “How Many Hopewell’s” guesses due at the info tent by 12pm
  • Crafters’ Court: Explore the work of some of our talented artists from Hopewell Valley and beyond!
  • Farmers’ Market: Fresh produce, flowers, honey, and more from local farms will be for sale.
  • Town Square: A chance to learn more about many local businesses and local non-profit organizations. Each tent is required to have a game or a giveaway, so be sure to stop by!
  • Food Court: Enjoy pizza, empanadas, funnel cake, popcorn, ice cream, etc. from local vendors. Bring your reusable water bottles – there will be a free drinking water station across from the info tent!

The Fair bolsters community spirit during the event as well as throughout the year, by providing scholarships for local students and grants for nonprofit organizations. The Hopewell Harvest Fair Community Grant Program has dispersed more than $225,000 to local nonprofits including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, The Chubby’s Project, HomeFront, WomanSpace, and many others
