Mercer County will hold a Flag Retirement Ceremony on Tuesday, July 8, at 6 p.m. at Hamilton Veterans Park (Klockner Road entrance). The event honors the proper and respectful disposal of worn American flags. A rain date is set for Wednesday, July 9.
Residents who have a flag in need of retirement may drop it off at any of the following locations:
- McDade Administration Building – Office of Veteran Affairs, 640 S. Broad St., Trenton
- Mercer County Connection – Route 33 at Paxson Ave., Hamilton
- Mercer County Library – Lawrence Headquarters Branch, Darrah Ln., Lawrence
- Mercer County Office Park – 1440 Parkside Ave., Ewing
The event is sponsored by County Executive Dan Benson and the Mercer County Board of Commissioners.
