The ever-popular Brown Bag Lunch Program at the Pennington Presbyterian Church begins this season on Friday, September 15 with a dynamite power-point presentation about the Watershed Institute and the important things they do regarding water in our Valley. This is certainly a timely topic in the midst of a very stormy and flood-prone year, followed by a massive heat wave.
Come for lunch at 12:30 (beverages and a light dessert will be provided), followed by the program from 1 to 2pm. Brown Bag is sponsored by the Older Adult Ministry Team, but this is a program for adults of all ages.
Join River-Friendly Coordinator, Olivia Spildooren, for a discussion about the work of the Watershed Institute, including topics such as stormwater management, flooding mitigation, sustainable landscaping, and what actions individuals can take to help keep our water clean, safe and healthy. Olivia works with schools, businesses, and golf courses to increase their environmental literacy, promote behavior change, and create in-the-ground projects to protect water quality and restore wildlife habitat.
There is no cost, but please register with the church office, 609-737-1221, x10.
