HTPD collaborates with cops thought NJ to nab thieves

On September 19, a Bronx, New York resident was charged by Detective Christopher Collins #59 with 3 counts of Theft and 3 counts of Criminal Mischief for his involvement in multiple catalytic converter thefts that took place in Hopewell Borough during the overnight hours of May 23, 2023. The investigation was conducted over the course of nearly four months in conjunction with Federal, County, and Municipal law enforcement agencies.

The following agencies coordinated efforts in this investigation which lead to numerous charges across municipalities throughout the State of New Jersey: Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, FBI Newark Field Office, Hillsborough Police Department, Montgomery Township Police Department, Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Dunellen Police Department, Raritan Township Police Department, Clifton Police Department, Hamilton Police Division, and Teaneck Police Department.
