Brown Bag Lunch hosts local veteran guest speaker

Celebrate Veterans Day with the Older Adult Ministry Team of Pennington Presbyterian Church very special Brown Bag Lunch Program on Friday, November 11. Guest speaker, Charles Hunt, is a lifelong Titusville resident and author of “Through the Water and the Fire: A Swift Boat Sailor’s Story”, who will share his experiences as a Petty Officer in the Navy Reserves serving in Viet Nam in 1969. He spent 345 days as an engine man and aft gunner on a 50-foot patrol boat in the remote areas of the Mekong Delta and Ca Mau. Hunt was awarded the Navy Commendation medal with Combat V for courage under fire. 

Bring your own lunch at 12:30pm for a time of socialization. Beverages and a light dessert will be provided. The one-hour program begins at 1pm.

The Older Adult Ministry (OAM) serves the seniors in the Pennington Presbyterian congregation and in the surrounding community with a monthly Brown Bag Lunch program featuring a speaker(s) of particular interest to seniors.
