Get wonderfully colorful at the second annual Color Fun Run & Walk, a fundraiser hosted by the Hopewell Valley Arts Council, at Woolsey Park on Sunday, June 12 from 11am to 1pm. All ages of participants can walk, run, or anything in between as they watch themselves turn into a technicolor masterpiece while supporting Hopewell Valley’s own arts nonprofit. Registration is now open.
“We’re excited to bring back our Color Fun Run & Walk!” said Carol Lipson, executive director of the HV Arts Council. “Last year’s event was a sell-out, and we all had so much fun! Like the Hindu festival of Holi, which inspired color runs throughout the world, our event brings together all ages to celebrate and promote health, happiness, and creativity.”
The morning starts off with a welcome and full-body yoga warm-up. Then, multiple waves of runners and walkers will be sent onto the fun-run course passing through five color blast stations where volunteers shower participants in food-grade dyed cornstarch. The course ends with a closing celebration dance party and a group color toss finale.
The Color Fun Run and Walk, as the name suggests, is about fun. If one can walk for two miles and enjoys a good time, this event is a perfect fit. It is not timed. There is no pressure. Capture lasting memories at the colorful selfie station. For refreshment, shave ice will be available for purchase.
Tickets start at $20 / Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 11am to 1pm / Woolsey Park, 221 Washington Crossing Pennington Rd, Titusville, NJ / Tickets are limited. Please register by June 3, 2022 if you would like an event teeshirt. For tickets, FAQs, and more, please visit www.hvartscouncil.org/colorfunrun.
