An alternative to traditional medicine for spine and joint pain has opened a new office in Pennington.
Dr Stephen Roman started the RegeneSpine, Regenerative Spine and Joint Institute, in Morris County in 2019 to offer patients alternatives to steroids and surgery for their spine and joint conditions. The Pennington site is his third location; he also has offices in Parsippany, NJ and in Manhattan. He told MercerMe that, at his practice, he combines the latest in minimally invasive pain management with the modern advances of regenerative medicine.
“We offer natural treatments, including treatments that utilize patient’s own blood and cells. These include the Discseel procedure, platelet rich plasma or PRP, as well as cellular treatments. Our mission is to help our patients to reach their full potential in living happy, productive, and pain-free lives. We are accepting new patients and are in network with Medicare, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, AmeriHealth, and Cigna,” Roman said.
According to a 2019 article in Parsippany Focus.com, Roman is a board certified medical doctor, formerly a senior partner for 15 years with Trenton Orthopedic Group. The site reported that, according to Dr. Roman “The use of regenerative medicine in the treatment of spine and other musculoskeletal conditions is a paradigm shift. We once had to rely on the tools available to us such as steroids, addictive medications, and surgery. With the advent of regenerative medicine we can now use a patients’ own cells for healing.”
The goal of RegeneSpine, according to its website, is : “to help each patient reach his or her full potential without surgery and without reliance on long-term medication use. We use a holistic multimodal approach incorporating, biologics, physical therapy, exercise, positive psychology, supplements, and other natural strategies to set the stage for your body’s natural healing.”
