Pulse Synergy Drumming for Mindfulness
Drumming has long been a part of traditional healing rituals worldwide and is increasingly being utilized as a therapeutic strategy.The Pulse Synergy Drumming for Mindfulness class, one hour in length and appropriate for all adults, utilizes exercises and games from the Rhythm2Recovery model, the Remo HealthRhythms model, as well as challenging West African and Afro-Cuban rhythms to enhance cognitive function and give social and emotional support in a Community drum circle setting. However, this is NOT your typical drum circle.
Each class focuses on a different sub-theme related to Mindfulness, such as Values, Relationships, Stress Management, Resilience, Boundaries, Empowerment, etc. Music is a language of emotion, and group drumming allows people to connect and explore themes together within the safety of the group
Group Drumming has been shown to –
* Reduce tension, increase relaxation
* Ease depression and fatigue
* Boost focus and support immune function
All Drums, Percussion and Tonal Chimes are provided, and NO EXPERIENCE necessary!
