The Hopewell Public Library is happy to collaborate with the Sourland Conservancy to host a tour of the Foraging Forest! It will be conducted by their Stewardship Coordinator, Eric Williams, and their volunteer manager Sari Pehnke.
The tour will begin with a general orientation meeting at the gazebo at 1:15 pm, then a guided walk over to the garden. The tour will include descriptions of the plants in the area, history of the plants, and why they planted them. Part of the garden also includes pollinator plants which, while not suitable for eating, are great for the insects.
Eric and Sari are both incredibly knowledgeable so please make sure to come with any questions you may have in regards to native plants in our region.
