Oppenheimer and the Atomic Bomb

Want to learn more abut Princeton’s role in Oppenheimer’s life and the development of the atomic bomb? On December 16, 2024 The Women’s College Club of the Princeton will meet 1 to 3 PM at Morven Museum Stockton Educational Center 55 Stockton, Princeton NJ.  This month’s topic is Princeton’s role in J. Robert Oppenheimer’s life and the development of the atomic bomb . This talk showcases the places where Oppenheimer lived and worked in Princeton, shares stories about the local academics recruited to work on the Manhattan Project, and tells interesting details of his life. The program will be presented by Eve Mandel from the Historical Society of Princeton, where she is Director of Programs and Outreach. Eve will be joined by Heather Jahrling, who is a Visitor Services Associate at the Historical Society and a third year PhD student at Princeton University.  Free and open to the public.  For more information contact WCCPNJ.org
