Get to know three contemporary artists who are making waves in the art community, a photographer, a sculptor, and a painter. Samuel Fosso is a Cameroonian-born Nigerian photographer who has worked for most of his career in the Central African Republic. Nick Cave, a Black American artist best known for his wearable mixed-media constructions known as Soundsuits. Kehinda Wiley is an American portrait painter based in NYC, who is known for his highly naturalistic paintings of Black people, frequently referencing the work of old master paintings.
