Fire at Hollystone cottage quickly extinguished by Valley emergency personnel

The Hopewell Township Police Department, along with the Hopewell Valley Emergency Services Unit responded to a Fiddlers Creek Road address in Hopewell Township for a structure fire. Hopewell Dispatch was alerted to the fire by a nearby resident. Hopewell Township Police Officers arrived and found the fire had been partially extinguished by another nearby resident.

Fire personnel, from the Hopewell Valley Emergency Services Unit arrived on location and began to work on the structure fire.

Responding agencies assisting Hopewell Valley Emergency Services Unit were the Hopewell Fire Department, Pennington Fire Department and the Union Fire Company.

The residential structure suffered fire, smoke and water damage; however, the fire damage was minimized due to the quick action taken by the resident and the responding fire fighters. No injuries were reported.

The source of the fire is under investigation by Detective Michael Makwinski and Patrol Officer Arthur Juba and Hopewell Valley Emergency Services.

The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature at this time.
