The fifth annual Hopewell Art and Community Market will be held on December 14th at the Hopewell train station and freight shed from 10:00 am to 5:00pm. A curated group of area artists and artisans will gather to offer their art and handcrafted work at the market, including apparel, ceramics, fine art, jewelry, photography, textiles and woodwork. Sourland Bread and a regenerative farm will also have sourdough bread and goods for sale.
In the spirit of the season, and keeping with the market’s tradition, there will be fundraising for community organizations. This year, there will be a bake sale and non-perishable food drive to benefit Chubby’s Project, a hyperlocal program dedicated to food justice and building connections within the Hopewell, New Jersey, community. There will also be a feminine hygiene products drive for homeless women and girls, as it was recently learned that these items are not covered by SNAP EBT benefits. Additionally, there will be art and handcrafted items created by local artists and artisans to fundraise for Hopewell Elementary’s ECO PTO native plant seed swap.
The goal of the market is to host a day for the community to gather, support local art and embrace the spirit of giving with opportunities to support our neighbors and the environment.
