After a six-week pause, Hopewell Valley Stage is back in action. The newly-reopened theater, which began its programming in April under the umbrella of the Hopewell Valley Arts Council, took a summer hiatus to make improvements to its venue, website, and programming.
“We might not have been hosting shows, but we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes,” says Theater Manager Maeli Goren-Wilson. “Everything’s been getting an upgrade. I’m particularly thrilled that we now have a wonderful website giving our guests all the information they need to enjoy a night out at the Stage.”
The theater’s redesigned website, https://hvstage.org/, highlights all of the Stage’s programming and provides information on the space, booking inquiries, rentals, and more. “We’re excited that the launch of our website means we can now accept rental bookings,” says Carol Lipson, Executive Director of the Hopewell Valley Arts Council. “Rentals are a great way for even more people to get to experience this historic space.”
With these new ways to connect with the Stage, the organization is looking ahead to an exciting month of programming. “We’ve got everything from classic rock to improvised film scores to a line dancing night,” says Goren-Wilson. “We’re really playing with the sorts of events that the Stage can offer, and we’d love to hear your feedback!”
In addition to the Stage’s live music and dance nights, Aesop Romp!, the Stage’s kids’ show, will return on Saturday mornings. All performances are followed by a play group at the nearby gazebo park. “We can’t wait to welcome you back,” says Goren-Wilson. “We’ve missed our audience!”
