The Hopewell Valley Regional School District Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting Monday night, formally seating newly elected and returning board members, selecting board leadership for 2026, and approving the district’s meeting schedule for the year ahead.

The meeting was opened by Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Board Secretary Robert Colavita, who reviewed the official results of the Nov. 2025 school board election.

Amanda Stylianou and Mark Peters were re-elected to the board, and Hope Cotter was elected for the first time. All three will serve three-year terms running through the end of 2029. Colavita administered the oath of office to Cotter, Stylianou, and Peters.

Following the swearing-in, the board elected Anita Williams Galiano to serve as board president for 2026. Dr. Pamela Lilleston was elected vice president for the year.

As required at the start of the calendar year, the board then received its annual ethics training.
