On June 26, 2015 at Monmouth University, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) recognized Officer Andres Mejia with the New Jersey Law Enforcement Recognition Award as well as the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety “Top Gun” Award for having the highest number of DUI arrests (26) in Mercer County for 2014.  Lawrence Township Police Department continues to proactively pursue Driving Under Influence (DUI) arrests in keeping Lawrence Township safe for the citizens and the motorists who travel our roadways.

Mary Galioto is the founder, publisher and editor of MercerMe. Originally from Brooklyn, Mary has progressively moved deeper and deeper into New Jersey, settling in the heart of the state: Mercer County. Formerly the author of an embarrassingly informal blog, Mary is a lifelong writer and asker of questions and was even mentioned, albeit briefly, in the New York Times and Washington Post. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from SUNY Binghamton and a Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall Law School.
