The Hopewell Valley League of Women Voters will be hosting two opportunities to meet local candidates this fall.  For more information on who will be running in the November 5 election and how to vote, look here https://mercerme.com/election-day-is-coming/.

The first HVLWV forum will be Thursday, October 17 for Hopewell Valley Regional School District School Board candidates.  The forum will take place at the Hopewell Valley School District Administration Building, 425 S. Main Street, Pennington, in the first-floor Board Meeting Room. The forum is open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. This fall there are three seats up for election to the School Board, one Hopewell Borough seat, and two Hopewell Township seats. Two candidates are running to fill the single Borough seat while five candidates are running for the two Township seats.

The forum will be broadcast on HV-TV Channel 19 (Comcast) and Channel 32 (Verizon) after the event. Planning is underway to also provide live streaming of the event. Visit www.hvrsd.org/apps/pages/AboutHVTV for more information.

The second candidate event hosted by the League will be a Municipal Candidate Meet & Greet on Saturday, October 19. This event will be held at the Hopewell Valley Central High School, 259 Pennington-Titusville Road, Pennington from Noon to 3 p.m. All candidates for Hopewell Borough Council, Hopewell Township Committee, and Pennington Borough Council have been invited to attend.
