To the Editor,
I have seen complaints on a local Facebook page about the Republican candidates for Hopewell Township Committee putting their signs on private property without the owner’s permission. According to the post, they leave a note behind saying “they hope the homeowner doesn’t mind.”
Guess what? The homeowners mind.
What on Earth motivates the Republicans to resort to these tactics? I have never heard of a local candidate sticking their signs in someone’s yard (not in the right of way) without the homeowner’s permission. Â
They must be desperate and will resort to any tactics to try to get a vote. That’s sad.
This Tuesday, I am voting for Mayor Courtney Peters-Manning and Committee Member David Chait. They are proud Democrats who work for everyone, every day. Â
And they won’t deliberately stick a sign in the middle of your yard without your permission. They have too much respect for you to do that.
