The Hopewell Valley Green Team is excited to be a cosponsor of the 2020 Mercer Green Fest. It is an opportunity for fun and learning for our neighbors of all ages. This annual free, entertaining, and educational festival will have about 100 Exhibitors including sustainable businesses, local farmers, non-profit organizations, school and student projects, art, energy programs, and much more.
There will be lots to do and see. Speak to experts and owners while checking out over 25 different Electric Cars. Interact with school and scout groups showcasing their sustainable science projects. Responding to this year’s theme – Water: Clean and Healthy – at the Hopewell Valley Green Team table you will learn how to know if your water is clean and also how to calculate your water footprint so that you don’t waste a single drop!
Help each other…. Bring your extra reusable bags for our “bag exchange” table or help yourself to reusable bags to avoid using new plastic bags when shopping!
The Green Fest is a family-friendly event with a lively music line-up and even a chance to make your own puppets.
Food and snacks will be available for purchase from Terhune Orchards all day with treats such as cider, donuts, soup, chili, cookies, and apples. Plan to spend the afternoon with us!
Mercer Green Fest will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 11am-4pm located in the Rider University Student Recreation Center on the main campus, 2083 Lawrenceville Rd, Lawrenceville, NJ.
