This week the Hopewell Valley boys volleyball team played three matches and won two of them. On Tuesday the Bulldogs defeated local rival West Windsor-Plainsboro North by a score of 2-0. The boys started off strong and won the first set 25-22, and narrowly scraped by to win the second set 26-24. Larry Kennedy had a great game with nine kills and a dig, while Armaan Desai recorded six kills, two blocks and three digs. Saahith Kusupudi had nineteen assists, three blocks, four digs and a kill, Eli Miller had one kill, Christopher Sawicki had four kills, and Vincent Huang had four digs for the Bulldogs.
Hopewell played Atlantic Tech for the first time on Wednesday, winning comfortably 2-0 (25-15 and 25-16). Larry Kennedy had four kills and two digs, Armaan Desai recorded two kills and two blocks, and Saahith Kusupudi tallied fifteen assists, three digs and a kill. Eli Miller recorded two kills and two blocks, Christopher Sawicki had three kills, and Vincent Huang had a dig.
The Bulldogs faced Bridgewater-Raritan on Friday and fell by a score of 2-0. Bridgewater-Raritan is a top ten team in the state but the Bulldogs kept it close, losing 25-19 in the first set and 25-20 in the second. Larry Kennedy had six kills, a dig and a block, while Armaan Desai recorded a kill and three blocks. Saahith Kusupudi had twelve assists and four digs, Eli Miller had a kill and a block, Christopher Sawicki had three kills and a dig, Nick Lange had a kill and a dig, and Vincent Huang had five digs for the Bulldogs. -Christopher Sawicki
