Volleyball Car Wash May 2022

This week, the Hopewell Valley boys volleyball team played two games, winning one and losing the other. On Monday they faced Northern Burlington, losing 2-0 (23-25, 18-25). Despite the loss the boys played well and kept the score close, with strong offense from outsides Larry Kennedy and Chris Sawicki, and tough defense from libero Vincent Huang. In addition, Kennedy, Connor Plarre, Eimantas Srogis, and Saahith Kusupudi all contributed service aces. 

On Tuesday the boys played Burlington Township, winning 2-0 (25-21, 26-24) in a very tight game. Larry Kennedy notched ten kills over the two sets, with middle Armaan Desai following close behind with six. Setter Saahith Kusupudi racked up 21 assists and 2 kills for himself. Chris Sawicki aided heavily from the serving line, earning eleven service points and two service aces. Leo Huang, Vincent Huang, and Nick Lange aided on the defensive side, assisting the team to their victory. – Emilie Sawicki
