“It is with deep regret that it has become necessary to announce the passing of Eileen Toth of the Hopewell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Toth was a 53 year Member who served as President of the Auxiliary on several occasions. Mrs. Toth was a Member of the Mercer County and the New Jersey Ladies Auxiliaries also.
The flags at the Hopewell Valley September 11th and Emergency Services Memorial will be lowered to half staff in her honor.
We thank her for her service to the community and pray that she Rests in Peace.

Eileen L. Toth, age 84 years, of Hopewell, NJ, died Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in the Capital Health Medical Center, Hopewell, NJ.
Born May 27, 1938, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Lillian Rogers Bell.
A homemaker, Eileen loved spending time with and caring for her grandchildren. An avid member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Hopewell, NJ, she was a member of the rosary society and the Columbiettes. Eileen was a Hopewell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary past and current president.
She is pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph A. Toth in 2022, and one sister, Patricia Smith. Surviving are her three children, Mary-Eileen Moore of Hopewell, NJ, Joseph Toth, II and his wife, Kristine of Hopewell, NJ, and Michael Toth and his wife, Christine of Hopewell, NJ; six grandchildren, Joshua Moore and his wife, Kathryn, Joseph Toth and his wife, Pfeni, Catlyn Hartel and her husband, Michael, Amanda Talarick and her husband, Dylan, Hailey Toth, and Nadia Toth; two great grandchildren Ainsley Talarick and Raelynn Hartel, and three brothers, James Bell and his wife, Eileen of Schroon Lake, NY and David Bell and his wife, Gail of Hamilton, NJ, and John Bell of Forked River, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Hopewell, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
