Outdoor movies come to Woolsey Park

by Community Contributor

In reaction to the shuttering of many entertainment venues during the COVID-19 shutdown, the Hopewell Township Recreation department has announced an outdoor movie program that will take place in Woolsey Park.

According to Leslie Conant, Executive Secretary to the Rec. department,  42 “viewing circles”  have been laid out that are 12 feet in diameter and six feet apart from one another, planned to accommodate six people.  “Residents are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for their comfort,” she said, adding: “We are using Summit Sounds to come in and set up the movie, which provides the screen and the audio.” The first in the series will be “Detective Pickachu” starring Ryan Reynolds on July 29 at 8:30 pm.

Tickets are free but reservations are required. A second movie, “Trolls World Tour” is scheduled for August 12. Woolsey Park is located at  221 Washington Crossing-Pennington Rd, Titusville, NJ 08560
