Drivers should prepare for continued detours in Pennington next week as Elizabethtown Gas crews advance their gas line replacement project. The utility says closures will be in effect daily beginning at 9 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Local access will be maintained for residents, deliveries, and emergency vehicles.
Road closures for the week of Sept. 15–20 include:
1. W. Delaware Avenue – Green Street
- In effect Monday, Sept. 15 through Saturday, Sept. 20 under Detour 12.
- W. Delaware Ave. to Route 31 will re-open as crews move into Green Street.
- Closed to through traffic at:
- Route 31 and Broemel Place
- W. Delaware and Green Street
- Green Street and Brookside Place
- Resident, emergency, and delivery access will be maintained.
2. Pennington-Titusville Road & W. Delaware Avenue (between S. Timberlane Dr. and Rt. 31)
- Sept. 15–17: Detour 12 in effect.
- Sept. 18–20: Detour 3 in effect.
- Closed to through traffic at:
- S. Timberlane Drive and Pennington-Titusville Road
- W. Delaware and Route 31
- Library access via Dublin Road.
- Middle and High School access via Dublin Road.
- Resident, emergency, and delivery access will be maintained.
3. Broemel Place
- In effect Sept. 15–20 under Detour 12.
- Closed to through traffic at:
- Route 31 and Broemel Place
- W. Delaware and Green Street
- Green Street and Brookside Place
