Shopping in the Neighborhood (Photos)

by Mary Galioto

This past Saturday was Small Business Saturday and we were excited to host a guest post, “Reasons to Shop Local and Fall in Love with Shopping Small,” by local small business guru, Debbie Schaeffer owner of Mrs. G’s.

Saturday was a fantastic day to support local businesses and my family and I visited as many local shops as we could (with our 3 and 6 year olds) and we tweeted along the way. Check us out at https://twitter.com/MercerMeNJ. We plan to do more local shopping this holiday season than last — we love our local businesses!

Here are some photos that capture what we saw along the way:

And here’s a slide show of photos that my big-girl, who is 6 years old, took with her little point-and-shoot of some of her favorite spots (and some of her favorite people/shop owners).
