Township has reportedly fired police officer for racist Facebook post

The Times of Trenton is reporting that Hopewell Township has fired Sara Erwin, a police officer employed by the Hopewell Township Police Department who called Black Lives Matter protestors “terrorists” in a Facebook post. The paper also has reported that Sgt. Mandy Gray will be demoted and suspended in actions associated with the same incident.

Township officials have declined to comment citing personnel confidentiality.
