Car Broken Into at Mercer Meadows
On March 28, Officer Jonathan Pauciullo responded to Mercer Meadows on Federal City Road for a reported car burglary. The victim stated that their vehicle was parked in the parking lot at approximately 9:00 AM. When the victim returned to the vehicle at approximately 9:50AM the vehicle’s front passenger side window was smashed. The interior of the vehicle appeared to have been rummaged through and items were found to be missing from inside. The items included prescription glasses, $750 in cash, identification and credit cards. The incident is under investigation.
Package Stolen at Forge Circle
Officer Ryan Finnegan responded to Forge Circle for a reported stolen package on March 31. The victim stated that their package was stolen totaling $266. Follow-up investigation and surveillance review enabled Finnegan to identify the suspect. The suspect was arrested on April 4 by Finnegan and served with a summons, charging her with theft. The matter will be heard in Superior Court.
Fraud and Theft on Paypal account
On March 31, Officer Michael Crincoli met with the victim of fraud and theft in the police department lobby. The victim reported that an unknown party withdrew $1,000 from their Paypal account. The victim noticed the suspicious activity on their account on the same date. The victim’s bank was notified of the incident and although no further losses have been incurred, the $1,000 withdrawal is still outstanding and under review. The incident is under investigation.
Copper Cable stolen from Construction Site
Officer Ryan Finnegan responded to Hopewell Parc South for a report of stolen copper cables on March 31. Upon arrival, Finnegan contacted construction crews on site who reported that approximately 100 feet of copper cable was stolen totaling approximately $1400. The theft took place between March 28 and March 31. The incident is under investigation.
