Two new restaurants coming to PQM shopping center

by Amie Rukenstein

Great news arrived in the MercerMe mailbox today: two new restaurants expect to open their doors in Pennington in the next few weeks.

Union Boil has been working on renovating the former TJ’s space for several months and will be open for business next week. “Maybe Monday,” according to Matt Martin, owner of Union Boil and several other restaurant groups including MorethanQ.

The Union Boil eatery will “serve up incredibly fresh and classic Cajun seafood boils but that’s not all!” The website is currently under construction, but when it was up a few months ago, entrees ranged from seafood to burgers and everything in between.

Additionally, the shopping center will welcome Bubbakoo’s Burritos: “since 2008, Bubbakoo’s Burritos has been bringing great food and positive vibes to neighborhoods. Our Mexican inspired food and customer services will make you want to come back for more when you visit Bubbakoo’s in Pennington, NJ.”

Bubbakoo’s media relations team indicates the store will be open “mid to late February.”

Edited 1/15 at 7:35 pm to add: there actually will be a THIRD restaurant, Aperitivo Bar next to Union Boil. Martin sent a follow up email to advise us that it also will be opening next week. He noted that “the space is bright and has a coastal Italian feel. The focus is on craft cocktails, Aperitifs, white wine, light/small bites and appetizers.”
