On Thursday February 12, The Painter’s Loft Art Studio in Pennington will be hosting “Arts & Carafes Night,” an evening of painting, wine, food and fun to benefit VolunteerConnect.

VolunteerConnect is Mercer County based non-profit organization that expands the reach, impact and capacity of other community organizations through effective volunteerism. By providing resources, networking opportunities and workshops, VolunteerConnect helps non-profit leaders capitalize on the strength of volunteers and improve organizational capacity. And partnering with area organizations to help develop more effective non-profit boards and provide a more rewarding experience for board members, VolunteerConnects helps local nonprofits identify and define projects that draw on specific professional skills and recruit skilled volunteers to assist. VolunteerConnect serves as a leader in raising awareness about the value of volunteerism and inspires residents to make an impact in the community.

Almost exactly a year ago, I participated in their Board Connect program which offers specialized training for individuals interested in serving as a member of a nonprofit Board of Trustees. And last October, Ryan and his law firm, Hill Wallack, were honored with VolunteerConnect’s Impact Award for volunteerism.

MercerMe’s Mary Galioto and Ryan Kennedy will both be attending “Arts & Carafes Night” — join us at The Painter’s Loft (2nd Floor, 1 Tree Farm Road in Pennington) from 6:30-9:30pm. For your tickets, click here.

In her free time, Mary fills her life with excessive self-reflection, creative endeavors, and photographing mushrooms.
